Director of Teams
A powerhouse of passion, innovation, and leadership, George Folau serves as Director of Teams at Coastal Currents Conservatory — bringing years of professional dance experience, championship coaching, and community-driven teaching to the heart of our competition program.
George began his dance journey in 2007 at the start of his college career. After earning an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Arts from the College of San Mateo and a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism from San Francisco State University, he committed fully to a career in dance and education.

Gary brings decades of experience — from Broadway stages to national tours — but his greatest pride comes from mentoring young dancers and leading them to victory with passion, discipline, and purpose.
