Performer’s Acknowledgment of Responsibility

At Coastal Currents Conservatory, a student’s participation is more than showing up. The expectations below are established to acknowledge the responsibilities that come with participating in any class, performance, or activity. Our expectations are listed down below, and is available as a printable document for signing.

📝 PERFORMER’S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSIBILTIY

1. Commitment to Excellence

● I will arrive on time to all rehearsals, classes, and performances, prepared and ready to work.
● I will maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward my directors, choreographers, instructors, castmates, and crew members.
● I will give my full effort, energy, and focus in every rehearsal, knowing that my participation affects the entire ensemble.

2. Professional Conduct

● I will not engage in behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful during any rehearsal, class, performance, or related activity.
● I understand that bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited and grounds for removal from the program.
● I will wear appropriate rehearsal attire and follow any costume and hair/makeup guidelines provided.

3. Preparedness & Communication

● I will memorize my lines, lyrics, choreography, or assigned material by the deadlines provided.
● I will take responsibility for reviewing and practicing outside of scheduled rehearsals as needed.
● If I must miss a rehearsal, I will notify the director or stage manager in advance and understand that excessive absences may result in changes to casting or performance opportunities.

4. Respect for the Space and Community

● I will treat all rehearsal and performance spaces, props, costumes, and equipment with care and responsibility.
● I will clean up after myself and assist with set-up or strike as requested.
● I understand that I am a representative of Coastal Currents Conservatory and will uphold the values of inclusivity, kindness, and integrity both in and outside the theater.

5. Safety and Wellness

● I understand that safety is paramount. I will follow all safety protocols, including any instructions related to physical movement, use of props, or backstage behavior.
● I will speak up if I am injured, feel unwell, or witness unsafe behavior
