Help us turn the tide for performing arts education on the Peninsula!
Coastal Currents Conservatory was founded by Bay Area artist and educator Gary Ferguson with one bold goal: to build a vibrant, inclusive space where creativity flows freely and every student — no matter their background — feels seen, heard, and celebrated.
We’ve gathered an extraordinary team. We have the students. Now we need a permanent home where the arts can thrive.
🎭 Your support will help us:
Secure a dedicated studio and performance space
Launch high-impact programs for Title I and underserved schools
Provide scholarships for students in need
Create jobs for local artists, designers, and educators
Invest in state-of-the-art equipment and safety-certified facilities
🌟 Whether you’re donating $5 or $5,000, your generosity makes waves.
Every dollar brings us closer to opening our doors and lighting up the stage.

Coming Fall 2025
Dear Coastal Currents Families,
We’re so grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves and welcome you to Coastal Currents Conservatory — the Peninsula’s premier nonprofit performing arts organization, where creativity meets community, and inclusivity is center stage.
Coastal Currents Conservatory (CCC) was founded to bring together the very best of the Bay Area’s performing arts educators under one roof. Our Directors, Musical Directors, Choreographers, Designers, Technicians, and Teachers are among the most experienced and celebrated professionals in the region — many of whom you may already know and love from past school, studio, and stage collaborations.
But what truly sets us apart is our diverse and dynamic team. Our staff reflects the cultural richness and individuality that define the Bay Area. We proudly serve students of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — and we actively create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and safe.
What We Offer
Coastal Currents Conservatory provides:
After-school and in-school classes in dance, drama, musical theatre, and music
Private instruction in voice, piano, guitar, and acting
Show-in-a-Box productions where students mount a full musical or play with professional support
Weekend and school break camps and intensives for students aged 4 to 18
A future home for mainstage performances, competition teams, and advanced training
Safety, Training & Accountability
We are aware of a recent effort by outside parties to spread false or misleading information about our team, using children as leverage to stir fear. We want to be unequivocally clear:
At Coastal Currents Conservatory, the safety and well-being of every child is non-negotiable.
That’s why every CCC employee will complete our comprehensive onboarding training, which includes:
Mandated Reporting Certification
Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention
CPR and First Aid
Working with Diverse Populations
Cultural Sensitivity and Trauma-Informed Practices
In addition, our Board of Directors is undergoing formal training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ensure our leadership reflects our values at every level. This training includes:
Promoting Inclusive Environments: Creating spaces that are welcoming and supportive of all stakeholders
Engaging with Diverse Perspectives: Actively appreciating and incorporating a variety of voices in decision-making
Discrimination and Unconscious Bias: Identifying and addressing implicit biases that may affect leadership and governance
We believe transparency builds trust, and we are more than happy to attend any PTO, PTA, or Town Hall meetings to speak directly with families, answer questions, and clarify any concerns.
You may email us anytime at gary@ccconservatory.com, message us on social media, or drop by one of our upcoming classes or events. We welcome feedback, conversation, and community engagement — always.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to uplift young artists, celebrate diversity, and build something beautiful — for everyone.
With gratitude and excitement,
Coastal Currents Family!
